STEAM Programming for Spring 2017!

January 23 – Physics vs Football

10am – 11:30am

The exploration of football science is interactive and seriously fun!  There will be upside down catapults for field goal testing, a newspaper football tee design challenge and robots to learn about velocity, including direction and speed.

February 27 – Take it Apart & Design

10am – 11:30am

Come and practice your tool skills and discover what hides behind the shells of electronics and toys! Using real tools, children will take things apart and explore how different pieces function and why their shapes matters. After practicing with tools, children will be challenged to think outside the box and invent a new object from the recycled pieces.  

March 27 – “A” in STEAM

10am – 11:30am

Let’s focus on the “A” in STEAM and explore the art world.  Children will have the opportunity to make paint, a natural paint brush and a stamp using unique materials and test all of their creations! This STEAM infused class will have children using their creative minds while thinking like a design engineer.

April 24 – Spring Time & Chlorophyll

10am – 11:30am

How do plants drink water? Why are they green? It is time to go on an adventure and explore life behind leaves, roots and stems.  Prepare for interactive exploration and tons of fun!

May 22 – H20 Science

10am – 11:30am

Water droplet races, walking water, absorption experiments and water balloon physics are perfect ways to start summer!  Mix water, science and curiosity during this class and explore science using water in different ways!
