Bring a special someone to the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center November 2-11. On Wednesday and Friday at 10 a.m. and Saturday at 1 p.m. we’ll be celebrating the book Abuela by Arthur Dorros as part of Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites, a special exhibit at the Discovery Center through January 2, 2023.
Storyland immerses children and adults in favorite picture books. In the Abula section of Storyland, visit Rosalba and Abuela’s intricate, jewel-like city for opportunities to imaginatively explore patterns while building narrative skills, vocabulary, and print and sound awareness. Fly along with Rosalba and Abuela to Lady Liberty, through the park, and to the store all while playing with interactives like postcards, a tourist telescope, and more.
Regular admission applies. Admission also lets you play all day at the Discovery Center with over 15,000 square feet of indoor educational exhibits exploring science, careers, art, building and more, a 4.5 acre certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom and special space for babies and toddlers to explore.
