Grand Opening of The Pigeon Comes to Topeka! A Mo Willems Exhibit @ Kansas Children's Discovery Center | Topeka | Kansas | United States

The Pigeon Comes to Topeka! A Mo Willems Exhibit opens Monday, September 24 at 10 am at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center in Topeka, Kansas. Meet Elephant and Piggie at 10, 1:30 and 3:30 courtesy of Hill’s Pet Nutrition, with a special storytime from WIBW’s Danielle Norwood at 3:30!

Visit the whimsical world of Mo Willems and his cast of lovable characters, including best friend duo Elephant and Piggie, faithful companion Knuffle Bunny, and The Pigeon, the wily city bird best known for his antics in Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus! Here, simple stories inspire hours of play and reveal the rich emotional lives of Mo’s characters. The challenges of growing up, like learning to make yourself understood or figuring out what it means to be a good friend, are gentle themes throughout. Along the way, children get to make their own art, surprises abound, and every exploration ends in a fit of laughter.

The Pigeon Comes to Topeka! A Mo Willems Exhibit is included in regular admission to the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center, which is $7.75 for kids and adults, $6.75 for seniors, and free for infants under 12 months and KCDC members. Admission also lets you play all day at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center with over 15,000 square feet of indoor exhibits exploring science, careers, art, building and more, plus a 4.5 acre certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom.

The Pigeon Comes to Topeka! A Mo Willems Exhibit is locally sponsored by the Redbud Foundation.

Special thanks to Hill’s Pet Nutrition, Danielle Norwood and Visit Topeka for their support of this event.
