Kenya's Kids Opening Day @ Kansas Children's Discovery Center

Join us for the grand opening of Kenya’s Kids at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center on Friday, September 13 from 9 AM to 3 PM. Discovery Center members may join us for an exclusive preview from 8 AM to 9 AM. KU’s African Drum Ensemble will perform at 9 AM.

In this new cultural exhibit, families can discover what life is like for children in Kenya today, a country both technologically-advanced and filled with longtime traditions. As they travel through five immersive environments, children can compare the similarities and differences between their lives and those of children in the East African country of Kenya. Check out www.kansasdiscovery.org/kenyaskids to learn more!

Locally sponsored by the Redbud Foundation, Kenya’s Kids will be on display at The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center from September 13, 2019 to January 4, 2020. The exhibit is included in regular admission, which is $7.75 for children and adults, $6.75 for seniors, and free for infants under 12 months and Discovery Center members. Admission also lets you play all day at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center with over 15,000 square feet of indoor educational exhibits exploring science, careers, art, building and more, plus a 4.5 acre certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom.

Kenya’s Kids was created by The Magic House, St. Louis Children’s Museum and is generously made possible by the Crawford Taylor Foundation and The Dana Brown Charitable Trust, U.S. Bank Trustee. The exhibit is locally sponsored by the Redbud Foundation.
