Launch Week: Water Rockets @ Kansas Children's Discovery Center

Scientists use rockets to get people and equipment into space. Getting a rocket to go requires just the right mix of force and acceleration. Launch a rocket using water on Saturday, June 15 at 10:30 and 1:30 at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center. This astronomical activity is part of Launch Week at Discovery Space, a special summer exhibit that invites you to experience out-of-this-world fun! Climb aboard the rocket ship, contact mission control, dress up for a space race and learn about the science of space at the Discovery Center through August 14.

Regular admission applies, which is $7.75 for children and adults, $6.75 for seniors, and free for infants under 12 months and KCDC members. Admission also lets you play all day at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center with over 15,000 square feet of indoor educational exhibits exploring science, careers, art, building and more, plus a 4.5 acre certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom.
