Bubble Fiesta

Bubbles, bubbles everywhere! Blow them, pop them, create giant ones, dance in them, experiment to find the perfect mixture and learn about the science behind the bubble! Bubble Fiesta at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center is two full days of good, clean fun guaranteed not to burst your bubble. Float in on Friday, July 12 from 11 to 3 and Saturday, July 13 from 11 to 3 to find your solution for serious fun.

Playdough Stars

When we see stars from the Earth, they appear white because of our atmosphere, but stars actually come in a whole rainbow of colors! Scientists use the colors of stars to learn about their temperature, composition and distance from the Earth. Space Oobleck!

Is it a liquid or a solid? Oobleck acts like both! Liquid when you touch it, solid when you hit it, oobleck has unique properties. Chemical engineers at the University of Delaware are researching this amazing substance to create the next generation of space suits that are both flexible and protective. Conduct your own oobleck exploration on Tuesday, July 9 at 1:30 at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center. Family Fitness Saturday: Yoga

Join us for Family Fitness at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center on Saturday, July 6th at 10:30, we’ll have family yoga! Family Fitness classes include kid-friendly yoga, Zumba, dance, or martial arts for the whole family. Adults are encouraged to participate with kids for a fun morning of family fitness.
