A strange gathering of wizards is taking place at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center on Friday, March 22 from 6:30 to 9:30 in the evening.
Attendees mingle with famous wizards and will be sorted into houses to earn House Cup points throughout the evening. Wizards may watch for flying keys, find lost socks for Dobby, stop by the Steam Engine’s Butter Beer Brewery, create a wand at Ollivander’s Wand Shop, engage in a Quidditch match and test their knowledge in Harry Potter Trivia. A fan art silent auction offers unique Harry Potter items not seen outside Diagon Alley. Magical creatures from the Sunset Zoo will be on hand to greet the wizards. The best Harry Potter character costumes will earn points and glory for their houses. Dinner and cash bar provide by Hy-Vee, magical grocers.
Admission is $30 for this gathering with all proceeds benefiting the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center to support museum experiences for every child. Must be 21 or over to attend. Advance tickets are required and may be purchased at https://kansasdiscovery.org/hogwarts/.
