Slime is serious fun! Slime helps kids learn about measurement, volume and see chemical reactions in action, teaching cause and effect. Slime at the Discovery Center is all the fun of slime with no mess at your house! Join us for sparkly snow slime beginning at 1 p.m. Thursday, December 29, at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center.
We’re open special hours for winter break and offering a special traveling exhibit: Storyland: A Trip Through Childhood Favorites. Storyland immerses children and adults in favorite picture books, from the gardens of The Tale of Peter Rabbit to the urban snowscape of The Snowy Day and the tropical island of Chicka Chicka Boom Boom. Designed for children and adults to play together, Storyland engages visitors in storylines and literacy activities that lead them to discover that it’s never too early to develop a love of reading.
Regular admission applies. Admission also lets you play all day at the Discovery Center with over 15,000 square feet of indoor educational exhibits exploring science, careers, art, building and more, a 4.5 acre certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom and special space for babies and toddlers to explore.
