Stars and Satellites Week: Build A Recycled Satellite @ Kansas Children's Discovery Center

Engineering tools that can work in space requires a lot of creativity. Work like a aerospace engineer and use recycled materials to construct a prototype of a satellite on Friday, July 5 at 10:30 and 1:30 at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center. This program is a part of Discovery Space, an out-of-this-world exhibit where you can climb aboard a rocket ship, contact mission control, dress up for a space race and learn about the science of space at the Discovery Center through August 14.

Regular admission applies, which is $7.75 for children and adults, $6.75 for seniors, and free for infants under 12 months and Discovery Center members. Admission also lets you play all day at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center with over 15,000 square feet of indoor educational exhibits exploring science, careers, art, building and more, plus a 4.5 acre certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom.
