Being a first-time parent with a baby can be both wonderful and incredibly stressful, sometimes in the course of the same night!
Get tips on caring for yourself as a new parent with licensed psychologist Susan Voorhees, PsyD. Check in on how you’re doing, your energy level and learn about taking time for yourself. Come with your baby and visit with other parents to develop strategies for managing the many demands of parenting.
This workshop is offered from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Monday, Feb. 7. The Discovery Center is only open to workshop attendees, who must be caregivers with infants under 12 months, during the workshop. Masks are required for adult attendees.
This workshop is offered as a part of Discovery Baby, a free, fun program that introduces babies and their caregivers to a world of learning and play. Parents who attend can meet other parents with babies and talk with professionals in a fun, casual setting at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center. Discovery Baby programs are open to parents with a baby under 12 months old.
