Winter Bubbles: Freeze or Float? @ The Kansas Children's Discovery Center

Bubbles are created from a layer of water sandwiched between two layers of soap molecules, all surrounding a bubble of air. Depending on the outside temperature, they can freeze, float, or sometimes both! We’ll experiment on Wednesday, December 29 at 2pm at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center.

We’re open special hours for winter break, and celebrating our Snow-Ventures exhibit, a winter fun exhibit where visitors can skate in their socks, run a penguin rescue, operate a winter market, build with icy blocks, and learn some seriously cool science! This special exhibit created by the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center will be open until February 6, 2022.

Regular admission applies, which is $9 for children and adults, $8 for seniors, and free for infants under 12 months and Discovery Center members. Admission also lets you play all day at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center with over 15,000 square feet of indoor educational exhibits exploring science, careers, art, building and more, plus a 4.5 acre certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom. Masks are currently required indoors for all guests ages 2 and up.
