School is Out, Science is In Tallest Tower Contest: Engineers Week

It's National Engineers Week and we're celebrating at the Kansas Children's Discovery Center with a whole week of activities to spark curiosity, energize creativity, and experience how engineers gear up to solve real-world problems. On Monday, February 17, join us for special open hours from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and a tallest tower-building contest from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.! The sky’s the limit as you compete against others to build the tallest skyscraper from wooden KEVA Planks. Can you break the Discovery Center record of 11.25 feet?
Regular admission applies, which is $9 for children and adults, $8 for seniors, and free for infants under 12 months and Discovery Center members. Admission also lets you play all day at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center with over 15,000 square feet of indoor educational exhibits exploring science, careers, art, building and more, plus a 4.5 acre certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom.
