The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center’s “Discovering Harmony: An Evening of Music and Hope,” hosted by Glenn Freeman, Mary Loftus Freeman, and their family, was a resounding success, raising over $160,000 to support vital Access Programs. Held on May 9, 2024 at The Beacon, the event featured captivating performances by some of Topeka’s finest musicians, led by Glenn Freeman, drawing the community together in support of initiatives like Medical Warriors, Play Free, and Admission Access. The evening was marked by heartfelt messages from Governor Laura Kelly and KU’s Brian Hanni, emphasizing the importance of ensuring that all children have the opportunity to explore, learn, and discover, regardless of their circumstances. The funds raised will help continue the Discovery Center’s mission to provide free or reduced admission to over 50,000 children annually.
