Take Care with Peanuts: The Exhibit opens Friday, February 6.
The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center will host the nationally-traveling Take Care with Peanuts: The Exhibit from February 6 to May 10, 2026!
Based on the beloved Peanuts “Take Care” campaign and created by the Miami Children’s Museum, Take Care with Peanuts: The Exhibit teaches children how to take care of themselves, each other, and the Earth with Snoopy, Charlie Brown, Lucy, Linus, and the rest of the Peanuts gang.
Designed as a fully immersive, hands-on experience, the exhibit transforms iconic Peanuts scenes into interactive learning environments. Children engage in activities that encourage creative thinking, emotional awareness, problem-solving, and collaboration, using play as a pathway to deeper understanding and connection.
Visitors will:
- Step inside Snoopy’s larger-than-life doghouse and explore the power of imagination.
- Help Charlie Brown “feed” the Kite-Eating Tree while learning about healthy choices and perseverance.
- Tour a tabletop Peanuts Town with Sally.
- Find comfort and quiet creativity in Linus’s blanket fort and book nook.
- Share feelings, empathy, and advice at Lucy’s Psychiatric Stand.
- Create music, movement, and rhythm at Schroeder’s piano experience.
- Help Franklin manage a busy schedule while learning about time and numbers.
- Solve puzzles and practice problem-solving with Marcie.
- Learn about composting, nature, and environmental care with Pigpen.
- Follow Woodstock on a whimsical scavenger hunt throughout the exhibit.
- Pose, dance, and make memories with the Peanuts gang in playful photo-ops.
The exhibit is included in the cost of regular admission. The exhibit will also be open during monthly free admission nights on February 19, March 19, and April 16.
