The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center is a place where all children can explore, create, discover and learn through play. To create an inclusive, safe, and fun environment for all families, we require the following:

Be Nice

  • Use museum equipment, toys, and supplies respectfully.
  • Share materials and spaces with others.
  • No solicitation or unauthorized sales on museum property.
  • Inappropriate, threatening or abusive behavior will not be tolerated and may result in expulsion from the museum and/or revocation of membership. This includes:
    • Criminal activity.
    • Actions that are physically harmful or endanger others.
    • Using inappropriate, threatening or abusive gestures or language.
Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol.
      Bringing weapons or dangerous items.
Failure to follow instructions from museum staff.

Be Safe

  • Adults are responsible for the supervision of children at all times. All children must be accompanied by an adult, and all adults must be accompanied by a child while visiting the museum.
  • Do not leave valuable items unattended on museum property. Secure your vehicle. The museum is not responsible for lost or stolen items.
  • Smoking or vaping is not allowed anywhere on museum property.
  • Children and adults with a fever or an illness that may be contagious or are too sick for school are asked not to visit the museum. Staff reserve the right to ask a visitor exhibiting symptoms of a contagious disease to leave the museum.
  • Visitors should keep food and drinks in designated areas to keep exhibit spaces clean and safe.
