School's Out Day, Science is in!
School is out for some local districts on Friday, April 3, and we’re celebrating the 93rd day of the year with a full day of serious fun at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center.
Head to the Maker Space to celebrate the number 93! Kids can take on a 93-Second Design Challenge, where they’ll have just 93 seconds to build something specific using creative materials. Families can also help create a community art piece featuring the number 93, using natural materials to mark this unique day of the year.
Hours for the day:
Museum Open: 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Maker Space Open: 10am - 12pm & 1pm - 3pm
Regular admission applies, which is $11 for adults and children, $10 for seniors over 65, and free for infants under 12 months and Discovery Center members. Admission also lets you play all day at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center with over 30,000 square feet of indoor educational exhibits exploring science, careers, art, building and more, plus a 4.5 acre certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom.
