Sensory Friendly Sunday
The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center hosts Sensory-Friendly Sundays on the second Sunday of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. During this special time, free admission is offered to families with children who have autism or who benefit from a sensory-friendly environment.
The museum adjusts lighting and sound levels to create a calm, supportive space, with activities designed to encourage comfortable, joyful play. Caregivers also have the opportunity to connect with one another and learn about local resources.
The museum is closed to the general public during Sensory-Friendly Sundays. Reservations are not required. Check out https://kansasdiscovery.org/sensoryfriendly for more information.
