Come to the Kansas Children's Discovery Center parking lot on Saturday, May 10 from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. for this free event provided by Safe Kids Shawnee County. 73% of car seats are not used or installed correctly. Don’t be overconfident! Getting your car seat installation checked by a certified technician is quick, free, and an important way to have peace of mind about your child’s safety.

Certified technicians will:
• Provide education to ensure your existing car seat is safe and properly installed
• Provide assistance with accessing a car seat if you face financial barriers. While supplies last, seats will be available for families that meet requirements
• Answer questions about making the transition between car seats, booster seats, and regular seat belts
