Skinned knees, bumps and bruises are a natural part of kids growing up, testing their abilities and exploring the world. But there are things we can do to ensure minor scrapes don’t turn into more serious injuries that can lead to disabilities or even death. Safe Kids Shawnee County, will share safety tips for families to keep your children safe at home, at play and on the way, including car seat safety tips. This workshop will be offered on Tuesday, April 8 starting at 5:30 p.m. at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center in Gage Park.

This workshop is offered as a part of Discovery Baby, a free, a free, fun program to introduce babies and their caregivers to a world of learning and play! Parents who attend can meet other parents with babies and chat with experts in a fun, casual setting at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center, when the museum is closed to the general public. The program is open to parents with a child under 12 months old. Only babies and caregivers may attend. No advance registration or sign-up is required.

Discovery Baby is generously sponsored by Stormont-Vail Health.
