Free Memberships for Foster Families
The Kansas Children’s Discovery Center values the important role foster families play in supporting children during times of transition. Free Discovery Center memberships help foster families enjoy educational and joyful experiences together while caring for a child in foster care.
This free membership is available for a limited number of eligible foster homes who are currently licensed in Kansas and have at least one foster child living in their home. Please review the membership guidelines below, then complete the application.
Membership Guidelines
- Eligibility: This membership is intended to support families while they are actively caring for a foster child. If a foster placement ends, the membership is no longer intended for use until another eligible placement is in the home.
- Coverage: The membership includes two named adults listed on this application and up to four (4) unnamed children living in the home.
- Guests: Any additional guests beyond the two named adults and four household children will be required to pay regular admission. Learn more about our admission access options.
- Processing: After submitting your application, Discovery Center staff will review and process your information and will be in contact once your membership is approved and active.
- Duration: Once activated, the membership will be valid for one year from the activation date.
- Renewal: At the end of the one-year period, families who wish to continue the membership must reapply to confirm continued eligibility.
