How do I get my digital membership card on my phone?

Download the "eMembership Card" app to your smartphone. Once you have downloaded the app, search for and select the "Kansas Children's Discovery Center " tile and touch "Find My Membership Cards." Enter the phone number on file or your membership number and your last name. If you need to update or add a phone number, please contact us. Then use your digital membership card and photo ID to check in!

Membership FAQs

If I buy a membership online, when does my membership start?

Right away! Your membership will start immediately and will expire 12 months after the date of purchase.

Can I upgrade my membership to the next level if I change my mind?

Yes! You may upgrade at any time.  Note: Your membership expiration date will not change with the upgrade. 

How can I renew my membership?

You can choose to renew online, over the phone, or in person at the museum. The membership will be renewed for one year forward from the original expiration date and not from the date you renew. 

Are there additional membership options for large families?

Yes. Contact us for additional options for families with more than five children in the same household.

If one of my named adults can't come, can another adult come in their place?

Discover Plus One level and Premier level allow one additional guest (an unnamed adult or child) at each visit. Discover level only allows the adults who are named on the membership.

Do all the members need to be named?

Yes, all members will need to be named when buying a membership.

Can I get a refund on my membership or transfer it to someone else?

No. Memberships are non-transferable and non-refundable. We do not issue refunds in response to exhibit or policy changes during your membership term. 

Do memberships cover my child's admission when they visit on a field trip?

No. Because field trip fees cover the additional programming offered for groups, children's admissions cannot be covered by membership. However, adult chaperones may check-in under their memberships when coming with a field trip.

Can I try visiting before purchasing a membership?

Yes! Take us for a test drive. If you come to the museum and pay admission, we will deduct your admission price from the membership cost, as long as you purchase the membership on the same day as your visit.

How many times can I change the names on my membership?

We only allow 1 change per membership year and only the primary adult can make the change. For more information please contact us at 785-783-8300 or info@kansasdiscovery.org

Under my membership, can I bring different children every time I visit?

Only the members that are named are able to visit under the membership.  Discover Plus One level and Premier level allow one additional guest (an unnamed adult or child) at each visit.

Can I use my membership for my home daycare?

Memberships are for named household members only. Contact us for group rates!

Digital Membership Card FAQs 

I just purchased my membership but I am not able to download my membership cards in the app.

Please allow 24-48 hours after your membership is purchased for your information to update in the digital membership card system. If you are still not able to download your membership cards, please email info@kansasdiscovery.org

Where do I find my digital membership cards in the app?

Open the eMembership app and click “Show My Membership Cards.” Your digital cards should appear under this section.  If they do not appear on the screen, please contact us at info@kansasdiscovery.org or  785-783-8300 to help resolve the issue.

I just purchased a new membership/ I was gifted a membership. How do I check in

You can check in with your digital membership cards and a picture ID or, just a picture ID.                 

Will I still need to show my photo ID with my digital card when I check in at the Museum?

Yes, we will verify the name on your Membership card matches your photo ID. You can also check in by only using your picture ID.
