Residents raise funds for Play Free program to support children with incarcerated parents.
Residents at Topeka Correctional Facility held a fundraiser in support of the Discovery Center’s Play Free program, raising more than $5,000 to help children with incarcerated parents. Topeka Correctional Facility is the only women’s prison in the state of Kansas, and the Discovery Center originally developed the Play Free program in collaboration with the prison. The program has now extended across the state and has served thousands of children.
We are grateful to the women of Topeka Correctional Facility for using their limited resources in support of this critical program.
