Zach is one of our incredible volunteers who has been supporting the Discovery Center since January 2026, and he has already contributed almost 100 hours of his time. You can find Zach volunteering each week alongside our Maintenance Coordinator, helping keep the Discovery Center functional, safe, and ready for play. We are so grateful for his dedication, consistency, and willingness to tackle projects behind the scenes.

Zach’s favorite part of volunteering is fixing or improving an exhibit and then watching children jump right back in to play and enjoy it. One of his favorite spots in the Discovery Center is the beehives, inspired by his youngest daughter, who loves climbing inside and playing with the baby bee stuffies. As a bee enthusiast himself, Zach also enjoys the exhibit because of his appreciation for these “marvelous little creatures” and loves seeing them in his garden and out in nature.
