Two volunteers, one with two legs one with four, provide comfort and care in access programs
This month, we’re shining the spotlight on a very special duo: De Jones and her certified facility dog, Vandyke! Regulars at Sensory Friendly Sundays and familiar faces at Play Free events, De and Vandyke bring a calm, friendly energy that helps create a safe and welcoming space for all. De and Vandyke both enjoy spending time with children and connecting with families. Vandyke especially loves all the attention and pets he receives!
De and Vandyke have been volunteering with us for over four years. Their steady presence and warm spirits make a lasting impression on visitors, staff, and fellow volunteers alike. They are always eager to be of service in any way they can and their dedication and belief in our mission shine through in all they do. Whether it’s a gentle nuzzle or a kind word, this duo has a special way of making everyone feel seen, heard and at ease.
We’re so grateful for De and Vandyke and the care, comfort, and joy they share with our community!
