The Discovery Shop now carries Mom’s Felt Food Kitchen! Paula Scott is a retired social worker who began making felt food as a casual hobby. Her passion quickly turned into a small business based out of her home in Hutchinson, Kansas. She prides herself on handcrafting unique, realistic items using felt, thread, and imagination.

Discovery Shop proceeds support our mission as a nonprofit children's museum to provide rich, diverse museum experiences for every child. Profits from the Discovery Shop support access programs, educational outreach and new exhibits. Educational toys curated by our team of play experts to encourage pretend play, sensory experiences and science exploration. The Discovery Shop is open during museum operating hours and many special events. Admission is not required to shop.
