Launch Week: Rocket Reactions @ Kansas Children's Discovery Center

Explore rocket reactions as an exciting way to learn about how materials interact, behave, and change on Tuesday, June 18 at 1:30. Use a chemical reaction to launch plastic caps into the air, and experiment to discover the best mix of fuel for your rocket. Program created by the National Informal STEM Education Network. This astronomical activity is part of Launch Week at Discovery Space, a special summer exhibit that invites you to experience out-of-this-world fun! Climb aboard the rocket ship, contact mission control, dress up for a space race and learn about the science of space at the Discovery Center through August 14.

Regular admission applies, which is $7.75 for children and adults, $6.75 for seniors, and free for infants under 12 months and KCDC members. Admission also lets you play all day at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center with over 15,000 square feet of indoor educational exhibits exploring science, careers, art, building and more, plus a 4.5 acre certified Nature Explore Outdoor Classroom.
