Snow Slime

Slime is serious fun! Slime helps kids learn about measurement, volume, and see chemical reactions in action, teaching cause and effect. Slime at the Discovery Center is all the fun of slime with no mess at your house! Join us for sparkly snow slime on Tuesday, December 28 at 2pm at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center.

Rainbow Snow Science

Is it art or science? It’s both! Use the power of capillary action to paint pretend snow with a rainbow of colors on Tuesday, December 28 at 10am at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center.

Winter Prairie Walk

The prairie is a completely different experience in the winter! Tallgrass prairie once covered 170 million acres of North America. Now, only an estimated four percent of this grassland remains. Native plants and prairies are an important part of our ecosystem and the Discovery Center maintains a prairie on our grounds. Join us for a guided prairie walk on on Wednesday, December 22 at 4pm at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center.
