Kitchen Creations: Slime-tastic Spring Break!

Slide in for Kitchen Creations Slime Day on Saturday, March 7 at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center. The museum is open from 10 to 5, with the Slime Lab open 10 to 4 and stretchy slime yoga at 10:30. Use your imagination and our kitchen supplies to turn slime into pretend cookies, cakes, sandwiches and more! This day of serious fun is part of Slime-tastic Spring Break from March 6 to 14. Join us all week during extended hours for a full mad science slime lab experience, slime dance parties, slime-and-seek, and daily science programs to keep the learning going when school is out—all included in the cost of regular daily admission! Slime flies when you’re having fun!

Regular admission is $9 for children and adults, $8 for seniors, and free for infants under 12 months and Discovery Center members. Discovery Center and Zoo Member Swap Day!

Memberships at the Topeka Zoo and the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center will be reciprocal for ONE DAY ONLY on Saturday, February 1. Just present your membership card at either location for free admission. Discovery Center members who do not have a membership card may pick up a pass at the museum front desk for use at the zoo that day.

Winter is here and it’s time to play at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center on Saturday, January 25 from 10 to 5! Create cardboard snowmen, rock and roll on indoor snowboards, and launch indoor snowballs at your friends and family throughout the day!

Messy STEAM Factory

Start the new year off with a day of with messy science at the Kansas Children’s Discovery Center on Saturday, January 11. At 10:30, use your muscles to create a smashing mess with kitchen tools, explore a mad scientist lab full of chemistry explorations at 11:30, at 1:30 launch paint-soaked materials at a canvass using the splat-a-pult, and at 2:30 create messy art with paintsplosions!
