Fun Facts

Disc golf was invented in Canada in the early 1900s, and is now played by more than 50,000 players in 40 countries. The sport is scored like golf, with players competing to throw discs in the target in the lowest number of throws. The current world record for longest frisbee throw is 1,333 feet, set in 2003 by Erin Hemmings. A disc thrown that distance at the Discovery Center could land on the Gage Park Carousel!
